Yesterday Ianiv & I took a day trip with my mom and her boyfriend to Whistler. We strolled through the village, had a nice lunch, then drove out to Brandywine Falls. That was a 5-second walk, so we decided to take the ‘other way’ on the sign towards a suspension bridge. Supposed to be about 4 km away.

Not too bad. Easy trail, mostly flat, but fairly unattractive from the drought. And… no signs. Just kept going and going. Eventually the dog, Reo, was out of water and being older, we didn’t want him to keep trekking. We made it to a road you can actually access from the highway (might have saved us an hour to know that!) then while the men returned for the cars, my mom and I made it to the river to get Reo some water. We saw the bridge, about 2 mins away, but never quite made it ;)

My mom found out that the little walk we were taking was supposed to be 2 hours. Oops.
