So, I was just about to write a "Wohoo, we’re going to see Great Big Sea" post and hopped on over to their website and here is what I see:
“The band’s tour bus was traveling on the highway to Vancouver and in an attempt to avoid a collision with a line of cars stopped on the highway, the driver moved to the shoulder of the road. Once the bus had come to a full stop, it tipped. Everyone is ok and the priority is to make the show happen in Vancouver tonight. The band wants to play the concert tonightâ€
Yikes! So, the concert will go forward, but it almost didn’t!
Update: here is the picture:
The driver of the bus has minor injuries and is being treated in the hospital. More:
The band may have to cancel tonight’s scheduled concert, in part because the trailer carrying the band’s equipment flipped into a wet, muddy ditch, and may have been damaged.
"At this point they don’t know if they’re going to be able to play tonight," Brunoro said. "It really depends on what happened with their gear inside that trailer. They’re all doing alright, but not so sure about the gear."
Ok, so maybe we should call Ticketmaster.
Update 2: The concert went on as planned. We had a great time!
