My blogging this month has been lower profile. We’ve started some new blogs that need TLC to get out of the sandbox. I went on vacation. We had our engagement party. And Qumana is doing big things.
In all the crazy stuff that’s been going on, I haven’t done as much blogging on Blogaholics, Blogging Help, Get Real or even on the Qumana blog. I’m starting to miss it. Both the funny gadget posts I do here, and also all the more informative and researched pieces I do.
I’m going to have to take some time to do one here and there just to feel the satisfaction from it. And also to make sure my profile is still out there. Blogging “under the radar” as I’ve been doing on our newest blogs does not help me professionally in building my profile, though it may later. Tradeoffs. Thankfully, the blogs are coming together and will need less work soon, allowing me to refocus and determine which new opportunities I want to pursue.
One thing I’m realizing time and again. Professional Blogging is all about tradeoffs. Tradeoffs between blogs. Between opportunities. Between what you want to do and what will bring in money. And between building for the future and sustaining the now. It’s a juggling act. Thankfully, I am fairly organized. And have my goals to keep me going. But it’s a crazy ride.
