Physio Woes

Posted in Arieanna & Ianiv

So, my week has been busy as heck but I am here to vent on my experience at physiotherapy this week.

First, I had a physiotherapist I thought was great. She did some good muscle stuff, some TENS stuff, and then some accupuncture. Whole package deal.

Then, she went on vacation. I saw this guy once. He was bad. Didn’t see him again. Then was with another girl for about a week. Thought she was doing a good job. Dealt with some pain in my neck that seemed to relieve the pain in my arm.

So, my old physiotherapist came back from vacation. I went back to her, thinking that since I was improving then I would just benefit even more from the accupuncture.

Wrong. This week my experience with her has been this:
1. put on TENS machine. Go away for 20 minutes
2. Take off TENS machine. Put on another sucky TENS-like machine. Go away for 20 minutes.
3. Put in needles. Go away 10 minutes. Twist needles. Go away 10 minutes.

Sounds great, eh? Not so much. Today my pain has come on full throttle. Tomorrow I will be stopping both step 2 and 3 of above in an effort to combat the pain with targetted muscle treatments. Yes, its more time consuming for her. But my choice.

So, my blogging has been slow. Right now I am trying to read what I’ve missed the past few days. But I may take a few days to get my typing skills back.

You might consider trying Tamara Ariss, a kinesologist and alignment trainer with 10 years experiences. She’s worked wonders on my back pain, she’s not cheap, but she’s been much more effective than all the other physio’s chiro’s, TCM docs and massage therapists I’ve seen, and I’ve seen quite a few. She actually realigns the muscles. She might be able to help you. She’s in Kit’s near macdonald and broadway at 604-780-2540.

Thanks for the advice. Things did improve a bit after I gave some feedback. Right now is not the most pleasant of days, however. Since I was speaking last night and organizing another event tonight, I have had to skip my mid-week physio. I am paying for that choice. I can see for sure that it is helping with the pain. No luck in making it go away!

If I can rumble up some additional free time I will give your reference a call!
