I was not overly impressed with the whole CelticFest thing. I was perhaps overhyped about it – they have a cool website, some pretty detailed event listings, and what seemed like a pretty extensive list of things to do. So, we show up, but it’s just basically one block of stuff. So, not much in the way of vending. Less than what I’ve seen at similar events. I was thinking it would be more than just one block – so there would be walking around and stuff.
Oh well. It was cool to get out. SUCH a nice day!! Took some great pictures.
Here is one of our photos:

Also check out the great photos by Kris Krug and Travis. (Arieanna’s comment – sorry, I suck at names.)
Ianiv and I are off this afternoon to join Kris Krug at CelticFest Vancouver 2005!
“Over 40,000 people are expected March 11 – 17, 2005 to celebrate Celtic culture in Vancouver’s Entertainment District. Showcasing the best of local Celtic talent over seven days, you’ll discover some of British Columbia’s best Celtic music, dance, arts, crafts, workshops, spoken word and highland sports at 16 popular venues and 3 outdoor weekend stages, along downtown Granville Street.” Link to CelticFest website.
Should be good fun. It’s an amazingly gorgeous day. Sure to be perfect for eating a la Irish, as well as taking in a few pints of Guinness. We’ll Flickr some pics tonight. Cheers!
