This sucks, one of the few shows I watch has been canceled. The last episode of Star Trek: Enterprise will air on May 13th. The show has been getting low ratings for a while. Last year it was barely renewed and then moved to a time slot on Friday evenings, which probably didn’t help much.
Fans of Enterprise have already started to campaign to try to keep the show on TV. At EnterpriseFans.com you can donate money for an ad in USA Today that fans can then cut and send to the network.
Whatever the Star Trek bashers may say (and you can read their comments on Slashdot) I liked the show. I don’t care about inconsistencies or cheesy and predictive plot lines. There aren’t that many sci-fi shows on TV and this one was entertaining. So maybe this is the end for a long time, maybe they will try to revive the franchise sometime in the future. Farewell.
